Requirements for Articles

Guidelines for submitting articles to the journal “Mining Bulletin of Uzbekistan”

The journal “Mining Bulletin of Uzbekistan” requires that submitted articles be properly formatted in order to comply with the requirements for inclusion in international analytical databases, including SCOPUS.

The Scopus international analytical system includes a list of requirements that must be followed by article authors. The quality of the submitted material must be at the highest level, which concerns not only its content but also its presentation.

Articles submitted to the journal “Mining Bulletin of Uzbekistan” must meet the following requirements.

Structure of a Scientific Article

• general statement of the problem or research task
• analysis of scientific publications related to the topic
• identification of scientific novelty
• research methodology and investigation part
• justification of the obtained results
• conclusions and prospects for further development

Note: an expert conclusion confirming the possibility of publishing the material in open sources must be attached to the article.

Technical Requirements

• article length: 3–6 pages + 3–4 figures
• text font: Arial Narrow, 9 pt
• line spacing: single
• formulas must be created using Microsoft Equation-3
• figures must be provided in JPEG, TIF, EPS or PSD formats with at least 300 dpi resolution
• all figures and tables must have titles

Abstract and Keywords

• abstract length: 100–150 words
• keywords: 12–20 terms
• the abstract must be provided in Uzbek and Russian languages

References

• references must comply with the standard GOST 7.1-2003
• average number of sources: 5–10 references
• sources should preferably be published after 2000
• citations in the text should be indicated in square brackets
